What will you learn at the College Safety N.O.W. Fair?

How can you prevent being attacked while in school?
Learn tips on self defense, dorm room safety, skills for walking at night, party safety and more.

How do I protect myself from hazing?
Learn the definition of hazing and how you can prevent it from happening to you and your friends.

What is consent and how do I know if I have it?
When does NO MEAN NO?  If I had consent last time, do I still have it?  Is my partner capable of giving consent?  What does safe sex mean and why is it important?

What do I do after an attack?
Where should I go if I am attacked and what are the most important steps to take?  Who can I contact at my school to help me?  What are my legal rights?

What does "don't be a bystander" mean?
What can I do if I see someone being attacked?  See Something-Say Something.

How do I find a school that is safe for me or my child?
Where can I see school's safety records and prevention programs.  Are there additional resources for my LGBTQIA+ student?  What is Title IX and who is the school's coordinator?
